In fall 2021 I painted Reflections Under a Rainbow, a collection about my own fertility journey, ten pieces and one final painting for my rainbow baby. Drifting is a 4ft by 4ft heavy oil with so much texture and depth, painted for the days I felt like I was floating without direction. Some seasons we simply have to let carry us for a while.

Framing
Sold unframed. Handmade wooden frames, locally crafted, are available on request.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every original arrives with a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming it is one of a kind, never reproduced, and documenting its provenance.
Care
Finished with a protective varnish. Dust gently with a dry microfiber cloth, no water or sprays. Keep out of direct sunlight. Oils can take up to 12 months to fully cure, so avoid placing anything on the surface. Framing is recommended for long term protection.
The Artist
Shalimar Waffa paints in her signature pastelo style, building thick layers of oil straight onto canvas with a palette knife. Meet the artist.
