Wasat is a framed 36x24 named for a star that sits near the middle of Gemini, and I painted it as a twin to my Down to Earth piece. It was part of my fall 2022 collection, A Constellation and Her Stars, where every piece was named for a star in Gemini or a quality I wanted to hold onto. I love how a piece about the center of something turned out so balanced.

Framing
Sold unframed. Handmade wooden frames, locally crafted, are available on request.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every original arrives with a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming it is one of a kind, never reproduced, and documenting its provenance.
Care
Finished with a protective varnish. Dust gently with a dry microfiber cloth, no water or sprays. Keep out of direct sunlight. Oils can take up to 12 months to fully cure, so avoid placing anything on the surface. Framing is recommended for long term protection.
The Artist
Shalimar Waffa paints in her signature pastelo style, building thick layers of oil straight onto canvas with a palette knife. Meet the artist.
